Congratulations to seniors Tim Letourneau and John Privitera who were recently featured in the Eagle Tribune. Below are the write ups on each.
Tim Letourneau
“Tim was a vital part of our success, killing penalties and playing good team defense,” said Rangers coach Bill Blackwell.
The senior center also is a member of the golf team and a quad-captain in lacrosse. His father, Brian Letourneau, also played hockey at Methuen.
Letourneau made high honor roll last term. He hopes to attend Stonehill. Tim is active with Relay for Life and a delivery boy for Anthony’s Roast Beef. The 5-foot-6 Letourneau says he lost 40 pounds in the last year, slimming down to 140 pounds. He has a cat, Sammy, and a dog, Emma. His favorites include chicken parmesan, “That ‘70s Show” and marketing teacher Christopher Varnum.
John Privitera
The Privitera twins are something special: Dom is No. 1 in the senior class of about 400 students and John is No. 5. John ran slower than eight minutes in the mile as a freshman now he’s run 5:36. Coach Kevin Alliette said, “He did it through hard work, 100 percent attendances and a supportive running family (Dom and their father Dennis).” John scored a 1,370 on his SATs and scored 4 on his AP biology and U.S. History exams. He’s been accepted to WPI, UMass Lowell, UMass Amherst and Roger Williams and plans to study civil or computer engineering. The 5-foot-6 Privitera’s favorite teacher is Brendan Cripps for history.
